This is a fixed term opportunity for 18 months with the possibility of becoming permanent.

Based in our Support Centre in Milton, this role reports to the Finance Manager, collaborating and consulting with all site Service Managers, Executives, Operations and Finance teams.

About the role:

The objective of the Finance Partner – Aged Care is to provide financial and management accounting advice that supports the delivery of Lutheran Services Strategic goal.

To be successful in this role you will:

• Work collaboratively with the corporate finance team in end of month procedures
• Partner with Aged Care and Supported Living Service Managers, providing high quality monthly reporting and analysis to improve decision making and performance.
• Provide financial input to proposed business cases and develop financial models for in depth analysis.
• Work in conjunction with Planning, Reporting and Analysis Manager preparing annual budgets/forecasts
• Complete financial accounting responsibilities in a timely and accurate manner including balance sheet reconciliations
• Train and develop team members and staff in best process and practice
• Collaborate with the Corporate Finance Manager in the maintenance of the Fixed asset register
• Actively participate in the annual audit

About you:

• You will possess a University qualification in Business, Finance or Accounting
• 3-5 years’ experience in Accounting
• Ideally you will be CPA qualified or be studying towards this
• Experience within a Not for Profit or Aged Care organisation advantageous
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
