The VP-Finance provides financial leadership in support of the organization’s short and long term strategic plans, goals and operational objectives and mission.
Essential Functions:
· Planning, organizing, coordinating, and managing the organization’s financial transactions.
·Providing an accurate statement of the organization’s financial and operation condition.
·Provide a fiscal standard of measurement for evaluating performance and controls.
· Coordinating and reviewing all departmental objectives, budgets, expenses, capital expenditures, position control, staffing controls, and statistical reports.
· Actively participate in quarterly board meetings including presenting financial results, project updates and any assigned strategic initiatives.
· Prepare, on a current and timely basis, appropriate monthly and annual reports for the board, ALT and designated committees, including: Operational statements (profit and loss), balance sheet, income and expense comparative budget to actual, cost containment accomplishments, and other reports as deemed necessary on an internal, local, state, and federal basis.
· Assisting department managers in the accomplishment of our corporate business plan and fiscal budget.
· Oversee payer contracting, account receivables, operating cost and timely preparation of accounting reporting processes as well as monthly close.
· Establishes and ensures internal controls to account for and present financial reports within General Accepted Principles of Accounting as well as LHHP’s managerial accounting guidelines.
· Oversees daily operation of the business office.
Education:
Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or related field is required.
Member of professional associations to assist in current knowledge of government regulations, reimbursements and changes
Experience:
Minimum seven years experience in accounting or fiscal services management required.
Healthcare and or non profit experience strongly preferred.
Skills:
Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).
Our VP-Finance reports to our CEO.
Member of the organization’s Administrative Leadership Team (ALT).
