Luther College is Looking for Choral Conductor – Part Time Full Time

Description of Duties

Luther College (www.luthercollege.edu/high-school) invites applications for a 25% part-time term position (with possibility of extension) as Choral Conductor in our music program for the upcoming 2023/24 academic year, subject to final budgetary approval. The position will chiefly focus on Junior Girl’s Chorus (Grades 9/10) and handbells. Duties commence August 28, 2023.

The successful candidate, in collaboration with colleagues and administration, will be responsible for:

• Directing a student choir;
• Contributing to co-curricular programming, including coaching and/or supervising commensurate to a level consistent with quarter-time employment;
• Responsible for upholding the vision, mission, and values of Luther College;
• Advancing the educational standards and reputation of the school and the music program;
• Participating in staff meetings and professional development where deemed necessary by the Principal or designated administration.
