We cover many aspects of brand design and artworking including product labels and signage, POS, shop hoarding, illustration, R&D and packaging, as well as providing the last touch before print production. We’re looking for someone who has a keen eye for detail and solid organizational skills, who can react effectively to a busy workflow schedule and provide accurate, on brand work within tight deadlines and with an innovative approach. *The role* The UK and Global Artwork team are on the lookout for a Proofreader with a fantastic knowledge of our products and brand, with exacting standards of grammar and spelling, and the ability to craft digital and print copy that informs, entertains and inspires. Aiding the Artwork team to ensure that Lush’s high quality standards are consistently maintained throughout all printed and digital assets related to products, within the business. The proofreader will work closely with our product inventors to collate their vision and help translate it into content that matches the Lush tone, as well as any SEO or brand needs. The role will be working across many disciplines within the business and will have many deadlines to juggle. A keen eye for detail is a must as this role will be responsible for ensuring that factual, on brand assets are produced to tight timelines. Innovation and process improvement is intrinsic to the role. *Responsibilities: * * A liaison with product inventors to ensure product copy is collated in a timely manner. * Proofreading all print and digital assets for the Artwork Team to ensure accuracy, consistency and quality. * Sense checking all copy for labels, signage, gift assets, events artworks, campaign assets, subscription assets and editing the tone of voice where necessary. * Maintaining and documenting proofing procedures to ensure the highest level of quality possible. * Monitoring, inspecting, and proposing measures to correct or improve product assets and processes in order to meet established quality standards. * Document and facilitate communication and troubleshooting of issues and changes. * Ad hoc proofreading for larger publications. * Ad hoc copy creation for products across any mediums. * Meet deadlines accurately in a timely manner, and have an awareness of how translation may impact the given space for copy on the artwork to help ease the translation process. *Skills and experience: * * Excellent English written and verbal communication skills * Knowledge of print set up for artwork advantageous but not required. * 3-5 years of industry experience. *How to apply: * If all this sounds like you, please send us your CV and covering letter in one document, detailing why you want to become a part of the cosmetic revolution. *What’s it like working for Lush* People are at the heart of our business.
