The role
Lush Limited supplies all our global manufacturing sites with fragrances made from top quality, natural essential oils sourced from all over the world. We also supply finished Perfumes from our unique & authentic ‘Lush Perfume’ range and manage the significant cost base for growing, developing and protecting the Lush brand globally.

The Finance Manager is an integral role ensuring finance provides timely & accurate reporting. It will involve taking responsibility of the day to day management of the Lush Limited Finance team of four, leading the annual audit process & ensuring tight financial controls are applied across the board.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the Lush Limited finance function ensuring consideration for the bigger picture and how we can set best practice – and what best practice looks like.

• Authorisation of fortnightly payment runs of £1m+

• Monthly sign-off on payroll for circa 300 staff.

• Accountability for the financial ledgers and accounting processes in line with Group policies

• Review of all balance sheet control and reconciliations to ensure the financial integrity of the company’s management accounts

• Work closely with the Management Accountant to deliver monthly management accounts and written commentary for Lush Limited.

• Coach and mentor the Lush Limited finance team and take ownership of their continuing training and development.

• Work closely with various discipline FBP’s on Support & Production team budgets.

• Oversee regulatory/compliance issues and ensure all financial statutory reporting requirements are submitted on time.

• Continually review systems, processes and reporting, by working with teams across the business, suggest ways to minimise loss, make controls more efficient and improve profitability.

• Support the annual audit and be the representative for Lush Limited for external auditors.

• Facilitate information requests from both financial and non-financial managers.

• Administration of intercompany loans and investments upon the direction from group finance

The ideal candidate:

• Culturally, someone who is interested in Lush and our ethics

• Super sharp and switched on – flexible, friendly, Hands-on and enthusiastic

• Qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA)

• Experience in a senior finance role and managing a team.

• Quick to understand the LUSH finance infrastructure including processes and systems but not scared to innovate and look for improvements and efficiency

• Comfortable with senior stakeholder management
