What we do: Within the School of Public Services at Leeds City College, we offer a range of study programmes across levels 1 to 3 to over 400 learners. Our curriculum offer includes: Level 1, Level 2 & Level 3 Diplomas for Entry to the Uniformed Services. Bespoke 19+ Level 3 Diplomas to enable learners to take their first step into a chosen career.

A Level 3 Military Preparation cohort of learners aspiring to join the armed forces. Opportunities to work with our partners, West Yorkshire Police, Yorkshire Ambulance Services and West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue as part of the 999 Aspire Programme. WHAT YOU WILL DO

What you will do: Core responsibilities include: Plan, prepare and develop schemes of work, session plans, teaching and learning resources, learning and assessment plans. Deliver inspiring sessions across the curriculum using a wide range of teaching methods for identified modules.

Deliver and assess essential knowledge and understanding to learners. Be responsible for recording student progress -Adapt curriculum delivery methods to maximise their effectiveness, including through the use of technology.

YOUR PROFILE

You will have: Level 5 teaching qualification. Ability to inspire and motivate learners to achieve their optimum. A passion for subjects that might include criminology, psychology, health & sport, careers, law or any others topics relating to the uniformed services and armed forces.

Relevant up to date subject knowledge and recent delivery in the Further Education or school sector. Recent teaching delivery which demonstrates active learning and differentiated teaching styles. Ability to be adaptable and flexible towards the requirements of different learner needs.
