The Role
The goal of the Talent Acquisition (TA) Operations and Recruitment Marketing team at Lumen is to work across TA, its partners, and stakeholders to ensure best-in-class recruiting processes, systems, and tools are in place for recruiters, hiring managers and candidates.
The TA Operations Analyst role is broad in scope, an environment where self-starters and curious learners will thrive! The team works on initiatives that fall into 6 key operational areas: (1) project management and technical implementations, (2) budget management and planning, (3) quality control and compliance, (4) assessment and selection, (5) training and communication, and (6) recruitment marketing.
This role will report to the Manager of Talent Acquisition Operations and Recruitment Marketing and will play an integral part in driving strategic Talent Acquisition initiatives specifically focused on (1) project management and technical implementations and (2) budget management and planning.
This role can either work in a hybrid basis out of our Broomfield, Colorado office or can be a fully remote position.
The Main Responsibilities
Project Management & Technical Implementations
- As part of a dynamic HR organization, with a progressive agenda, TA is constantly tapped to advise and participate in cross-functional projects. This role will be responsible for managing and leading projects within the TA umbrella.
- Lead technical implementations working closely with our talent experience platform (Phenom People) and ATS (SuccessFactors).
- Collaborate cross-functionally to identify opportunities for continuous improvements to recruiting business operations with a focus on improving candidate and recruiter user experiences through standardization, automation, and digitization.
- Assist with driving improvements to overall hiring process and streamline current processes to optimize the various end user experiences, under the direction and guidance of the TA Operations Manager.
- Work alongside the TA Operations Manager on cross-functional projects to meet functional and overarching organizational goals.
Budget Management and Planning
- Assist the Manager of TA operations in preparing financial forecasts, end of quarter budget reviews and planning.
- Aid in the reconciliation of actuals to budget for end of month/end of quarter/end of year.
- Use SAP to reconcile accounts and provide readouts to the Manager of Talent Acquisition upon request.
- Assist with tracking all flexible/contractual spend and researching expenses as needed.
What We Look For in a Candidate
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Human Resources, or other relevant concentration with 4+ years consulting level experience or Master’s degree in business, Human Resources, or other relevant concentration with 2+ years consulting level experience.
- Experience leading technical implementations of tools integrating with an ATS strongly preferred.
- A critical thinker who can clearly and concisely communicate and influence decisions with data and logic.
- Candidates with a natural bend towards learning and who are self-motivated will be the most successful in this role.
- Requires strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks to meet or exceed deadlines in an ambiguous, fast-paced environment.
- Analytical mindset and time management skills will be essential to a high performer in this role.
- A track record of personal accountability, strong work ethic, and attention to the littlest details.

This position is eligible for either short-term incentives or sales compensation. Director and VP positions also are eligible for long-term incentive.
