Position Description

The Instructor will be supporting the Ground Based Air Defense (GBAD) New Equipment Training (NET) to support the development, review and administration of training packages focused on the maintenance of GBAD systems. This position is a combination of both “in-the-office” and “in-the-field” support.

Responsibilities

• Delivers training programs and workshops
• Determines training objectives
• Writes training programs, including outlines, text, handouts, tests, and designs laboratory exercises
• Lectures class on safety, installation, programming, maintenance, and repair of software, machinery, and equipment, following outline, handouts and texts
• Administers written and practical exams and writes performance reports to evaluate trainees’ performance.
• Rely on existing maintenance policy and procedural expertise to develop and refine training material.
• Collaborates with Team Members, Civilian Staff and Military Personnel
• Works independently to accomplish tasks within critical time constraints.

Education

Successful completion of military curriculum developer courses, completion of a military Formal School Instructor course or equivalent industry recognized technical training instructor program. Degree in Instructional Systems Design/Instruction highly desirable, but not required.

Certifications/Training

Must have a minimum of three (3) years of proven experience as an instructor in a Formal Learning Center, military, or technical training program (Designated Senior Instructor per Marine Aviation Weapons and Tactics Squadron 1 (MAWTS-1), Control, and Communication (C3) Course Catalog or successful completion of a military Formal School Instructor Course and military curriculum developer courses, or completion of or equivalent industry recognized technical training instructor program.

• Technical experience in all and/or some of the following:
• Marine Aviation Command and Control (MACCS) Maintenance Officer, Maintenance Chief, Maintenance Section Leader
• Electronics Maintenance
• Network Administration (IP, Switching)
• NET+, SEC+
• Command and Control (C2) Systems and Tactical Data Links (Link-16)
• Joint Range Extension Applications Protocols (JREAP)
• Air Defense System Integration (ADSI)
• Aviation Radar Systems Maintenance
• Multi-Channel Tactical Radios (VULOS, ANW2, SATCOM)
• Must be fluent with the Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook

Travel Requirements

CONUS and OCONUS Travel for this effort is estimated to be 30%-40% of total support annually. Must possess or be able to obtain a passport.

• NSWC Crane, IN and surrounding areas
• Quantico, VA and surrounding areas
• Camp Pendleton, CA
• Okinawa, Japan
