The Senior Human Resources Generalist will be supporting our Distribution Centers in Aurora, IL and Edison, New Jersey. This position will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring employee engagement initiatives and supporting our employees to accomplish our mission and goals. The right candidate is a self-starter who excels at finding innovative ways to develop and deliver HR strategy and is able to manage and lead projects from conception to completion. In this role, you will work closely with organizational leaders and the recruiting team. The Sr. HR Generalist reports to the HR Manager at LTD Commodities and has a dotted line to the HR Manager for the New Jersey Distribution Center.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provides support for employee relations matters, ensuring compliance, consistency and clear communication and interpretation of policies
• Exercises and promotes the “Open Door Policy” and LTD culture, being available to employees as needed for guidance and support on employment related matters
• Work with the HR Manager and the Recruitment Supervisor to establish recruiting strategies for high volume seasonal recruiting.
• Facilitates the onboarding process for Spanish & English speaking employees. Creates an experience that effectively welcomes new employees and ensures they have the proper tools and access.
• Administers LOA, FMLA, WC, and other programs including driving HR Analytics.
• Performs general Human Resources tasks and leads ad-hoc projects and programs that contribute to increasing the effectiveness of the HR Function. including keeping employee records up to date.
• Plans and coordinates engaging employee communications and meetings for the Aurora location.
• Assists with 30/60/90 employee follow-up. Gathers employee feedback, summarizes insights, makes recommendations, and partners with HR Manager on solutions based on employee feedback.
• Provides user and issue management support for the Paylocity system (HRMS/Payroll System). Participates in system maintenance

Qualifications/Requirements:

• English and Spanish language proficiency.
• 2+ years of experience in Human Resources.
• Ability to solve problems and find solutions independently.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Spanish.
• Experience using HR information systems, such as Paylocity preferred.
• Knowledge of applicable local, federal and state employment laws and regulations.
• HR certification or a certificate in HR Management Program preferred.
