Talent Acquisition Manager
Shawnee, KS
In this role you will supervise daily operations of a team of recruiters and other administrative staff. You will recruit as well as provide leadership, ensure customer service standards, support sales and manage a safe working environment. With minimal oversight, exercise independent discretion in day-to-day operations to prioritize, organize and assess situations, making on-the-spot decisions in a professional manner while mitigating potential risk. Verify all duties and tasks assigned are completed within the confines of applicable Local, State and Federal laws and are done so accurately, delivered with high quality and in a timely manner. Responsible for confidential and time sensitive material.
Essential Functions
1.Partners with Business Development Manager regarding strategy to secure new or retain existing customers.
2.Accountable for team’s success through leading by example, training, providing guidance, mentoring and may be consulted regarding disciplinary issues.
3.Conductsand/or provides feedback for staff performance reviews.
4.Ensures services provided to applicants, customers and vendors are consistent with company policies, quality standards and applicable Local, State and Federal laws.
5.Leads branch meetings and applicable training sessions; communicates company policies, procedures and initiatives to staff.
6.Assists with creating, maintaining and increasing branch profitability.
7.Demonstrates reasonable efforts to achieve and/or exceed projected branch performance expectations.
8.Participates in weekly manager meeting calls.
9.May generate leads through marketing and networking opportunities.
10.Aids in recruiting efforts for applicant pool by using traditional and nontraditional resources, such as career fairs, online job fairs, community network events, social media, etc., to identify and attract quality candidates.
11.Participates in cultivating strong relationships with customers.
12.Acts as expeditor for all facets of business to remove workflow obstacles.
13.May assist with Customer Safety Inspections or plant tours.
14.Handles general complaints (dislike of work assignment, discrepancy of hours, and other ordinary issues.) Also assists with collecting statements and information necessary to perform investigations regarding more serious grievances, and coordinates with management and HR to determine appropriate resolution in compliance with Local, State and Federal laws.
15.With guidance, makes professional decisions in a fast-paced environment while maintaining compliance with all Local, State and Federal laws.
16.Brainstorms with staff, peers and ownership to promote continuous improvement initiatives in all aspects of business.
17.May contribute to negotiation of contractual terms and conditions with prospective customers, as well as existing customers.
18.Protects organization and builds trust by maintaining confidentiality of applicant, employee and customer information.
19.Participates as an integral part of the organization in support of staff company-wide to encourage the success of all team members.
20.Attends training and education sessions to support continued personal and professional growth to augment relevant knowledge and skills.
21.Performs other duties as assigned in support of the company.
Competencies
1.College degree, previous experience in a supervisor role or a minimum of 1 year of recruiting, staffing or sales.
2.Proven leadership/motivational skills and ability to effectively manage others.
3.Demonstrated aptitude for sound decisions in pressure situations.
4.Abilityto effectively communicate at all levels via phone call, in-person, text, email, Skype and other online messaging tools.
5.Adept in technology.
6.Good organization and time management.
7.Detail oriented with exceptional follow up.
8.Resourceful and anticipates needs.
9.All staff members are expected to greet every applicant, customer or visitor in a polite, courteous and professional manner.
10.All staff members are expected to make customer relations a top priority and every effort should be made to anticipate and go beyond their expectations.
11.All staff members understand that confidentiality is held to the utmost restriction. No names or sensitive information should be shared outside of this office. Failure to comply with this policy will be grounds for immediate termination.
12.All staff members are expected to participate in all work-related functions as required by management, regardless of job title or responsibility.
13.All staff members are expected to strictly adhere to the requirements of Local, State and Federal laws.
