Programmes and Teaching Operations Manager
Salary from £38,313 to £46,148 pa inclusive with potential to progress to £49,614 pa inclusive of London allowance
The Department of Methodology at The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) is an internationally recognised centre of excellence in social science research methodology. The Department coordinates and provides a focus for methodological activities at the School, in the areas of graduate student and staff training and of methodological research.
The Department is seeking to appoint a highly committed and motivated Programmes and Teaching Operations Manager to lead on the administration of the department’s MSc programmes and teaching, the recently launched undergraduate courses and methods training via advanced workshops.
Your responsibilities will include managing all aspects of the MSc programmes and student experience, from admission to graduation as well as the administration of the undergraduate course teaching and the methods training workshop programme. You will manage a small team responsible for the delivery of course and assessment administration, programme management and student engagement, working closely with key academic and professional services staff to proactively develop the programmes, student experience and learning community.
You should possess substantial relevant experience within the Higher Education sector. You will also have excellent oral and written communication skills, the ability to work under your own initiative as well as within a team, and sound IT skills. A proven ability to plan, prioritise and manage a demanding and varied workload, and meet concurrent deadlines is also required. Experience of leading and managing a team is desirable.
