Programme Manager (MPP & Student Partnerships)
Salary from £37,197 to £44,802 pa inclusive with potential to progress to £48,168 pa inclusive of London allowance
This is a fixed term appointment until May 2023 to cover Maternity leave
The LSE School of Public Policy equips students with the skills and ideas to transform people and societies. We are an international community where ideas and practice meet, creating professionals with the ability to analyse, understand and resolve the challenges of contemporary governance.
We are now seeking a full-time Programme Manager (MPP & Student Partnerships) to work on our full time Master of Public Policy (MPP) programme and across the department’s other degree programmes, including the Double Degree programmes. The MPP is a 9-month degree programme for mid-career professionals seeking to advance in the field of public policy and administration. The department also runs a two-year Master of Public Administration degree programme.
The Programme Manager (MPP & Student Partnerships) plays a pivotal role in the smooth and efficient running of the degree programmes, working closely with the degree programme’s academic staff and working collaboratively as part of a small team, reporting to the Head of Programme Delivery. They will also lead on student partnerships activities for all full-time degree programmes, liaising with the School of Public Policy’s Events Team and other external parties to deliver an engaging and high quality student experience.
Candidates for this post should have exceptional skills in the organising, planning and delivery of multiple concurrent activities with excellent attention to detail. Candidates must have programme administration or programme management experience, preferably at the post-graduate level. Candidates will need to demonstrate experience of working under pressure, initiative, effective team-working and professionalism. It is a key requirement to resolve problems in timely fashion, recognising both customer service towards students and faculty, and LSE’s regulatory requirements.
The ability to use specialist expertise in order to provide accurate and timely advice is essential, as are excellent communication skills, both written and oral.The post requires outstanding levels of accuracy, attention to detail and the ability to contribute to an exceptional student experience. The ability to work with limited direct supervision and to use initiative is also essential. Experience of managing events or similar activities would also be desirable.
