Assistant Planning Officer (Education Analyst) – 2 posts

Salary from £37,197 to £44,802 pa inclusive with potential to progress to £48,168 pa inclusive of London allowance

The London School of Economics and Political Science is one of the foremost social science universities in the world. As the Assistant Planning Officer (Education Analyst), you will lead the development of management information and analysis on several programmes that are advancing education and student experience at LSE.

You will be responsible for scoping, specifying, developing and maintaining visualisations and analysis on a range of areas relating to education and student experience. You will work with colleagues in service divisions, in academic departments and in data and technology services to ensure timely and meaningful management information is available to support the continued development and success of student-facing activities. You will have opportunities to develop within the role, including bespoke training and the chance to work with LSE academics to deliver statistical or other analysis.

To succeed in your application, you will:

• Have experience in creating or using management information dashboards, and using Business Intelligence software such as Tableau, Qlikview, Power BI or equivalent;

• Be educated to degree level (or equivalent);

• Have experience of manipulating datasets and using formulae in Microsoft Excel and/or Alteryx;

• Have excellent IT (including MS Excel and word) and numeracy skills;

• Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills (written and verbal);

• Ability to plan and organise own workload and consistently meet deadlines, often under pressure.
