LSE Extended Education Admissions and Programme Manager (Summer School)

Salary from £37,197 to £44,802 pa with potential to progress to £48,168 pa inclusive of London allowance

The Summer School is part of the Extended Education division, a highly successful and commercially focused division that delivers LSE’s open enrolment short courses, online courses, and distance learning degree programmes to a range of audiences, spanning from new undergraduates to senior working professionals. The LSE’s Summer School is the largest and most successful of its kind in Europe.

Over 7,000 students from all over the world attended the programme over nine weeks in 2019 and we have ambitious enrolment targets as we look to rebuild key markets impacted by Covid-19. Our programmes provide a significant revenue source for the school, generating critical funds to invest in LSE’s world-leading teaching and research.

The new Admissions and Programme Manager will join a team committed to providing an outstanding level of service and front-line support to our students, from the enquiry stage right through to attendance and certification.

The post holder will report to the Summer School Head of Programme Delivery and will work closely with the Marketing and Recruitment and Operations Teams to review all aspects of the programme with a view to introducing ongoing improvements.

We are seeking applications from candidates with exceptional administrative, organisational and communication abilities that will equip them to join a team dedicated to replicating the ‘LSE Experience’ for our students.

The role demands proven experience of working across teams, and an ability to work as a proactive member of a team whilst also managing, supervising and motivating junior team members. To be successful in this role, you will have a good standard of education, be an excellent communicator and possess management experience, ideally within Higher Education. An important aspect of the role will be an ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining a high degree of accuracy, and having the skills to solve problems in a busy working environment.
