Location: Based at West Ham Lane, Stratford,E15 4PH 20-40% p/w and 3-4 days working from home

We are looking for a person with experience in and a passion for diversity and inclusion to support us with the implementation, monitoring and continual improvement of our Group-wide approach to diversity and inclusion.

Our corporate plan recognises that diversity and inclusion is a key strategic driver to deliver better outcomes for our colleagues, residents and wider stakeholders. Whilst maintaining momentum and investment in diversity and inclusion outcomes for colleagues, we want to balance this in the coming years with focus on how our diversity and inclusion approach delivers for residents.

Rather than being the responsibility of a single team, we regard diversity and inclusion as way of working at L&Q. It has a critical role to play in all that we do to help us continually improve as an organisation for the benefit of the people we serve.

As a result, a key focus of this role will be to build knowledge about diversity issues across the organisation, supporting the growth of inclusive culture in a diverse range of teams, and helping teams to grow the inclusive thinking and decision-making skills needed to ensure the right outcomes for diverse groups of residents.

You will sit at the heart of the organisation, in our central Governance, Strategy and Communications Directorate, reporting to the Assistant Director for Diversity and Inclusion. You will work across all L&Q business areas, forming strong relationships with key partners including HR, Organisation Development, Resident Engagement and local leaders to meet our diversity and inclusion goals.

Skills and Experience

You will bring your skills, expertise and passion for equity, diversity and inclusion, along with:

• A track record of driving inclusion in the workplace whether in a corporate or voluntary capacity.
• A track record of building rapport and working effectively with a diverse range of people to deliver shared goals, recognising where individuals are on their own diversity and inclusion journey.
• An understanding of the principles of handling diversity data and a track record of analysing data to form conclusions and formulate data-informed action plans.
• Strong presentation skills, including the ability to deliver workshops to audiences with different levels of knowledge and experience
• Excellent writing skills, with the ability to produce a range of products from quality business reports to compelling communication pieces.
• Experience of senior stakeholder engagement and the ability to positively inform and influence discussions and business decisions
• A strong suit of business skills, including organisational and project management skills.

Previous housing experience is not essential and we welcome applications from across the public, private and non-profit sectors.
