Role Description

Low Carbon is in an exciting period of growth as we work towards our ambitious climate change targets, and transition into an IPP. We are looking for a Talent Acquisition Partner to work closely with Hiring Managers across the business, attracting top talent to Low Carbon.

You will play an important part in driving the growth of a business committed to developing renewable energy infrastructure in both the UK and overseas. The key focus will be on identifying great people who want to have an impact on climate change and contribute towards our net zero targets. We currently have c150 employees and are expecting significant growth in 2023, and alongside the Talent Acquisition Manager, you will be accountable for providing a high quality partnership to leaders around the business.

Key responsibilities

Strategic

• Build strong relationships across the business and an understanding of the range of roles and skills required in different departments. Become a trusted and valued business partner for hiring managers
• Generate and nurture a pipeline of potential candidates for departments across the business
• Increase diversity across the business through the hiring strategy
• Contribute to Recruitment Marketing and Talent Mapping exercises

Operational

• Working from a defined Hiring Plan, run the end-to-end recruitment process for selected roles
• Create and review Job Descriptions, ensuring they are descriptive, appealing, accurate, effective, consistent and on brand
• Carry out campaign plan discussions for each role, agreeing the recruitment strategy and timeline
• Provide a great candidate experience, ensuring that every touchpoint reflects our brand values and is a positive experience for the candidate, regardless of the outcome
• Source candidates directly, using LinkedIn Recruiter and other potential avenues / platforms based on role requirements
• Management of applications (using our ATS (BambooHR))
• Consult, support and challenge Hiring Managers on best practice, reviewing CVs and supporting with interview preparation
• Screen candidates and arrange interviews and assessment tasks
• Providing candidate feedback and manage the offer process on selected roles

Skills & Experience

• Recruitment experience, ideally both in an agency / executive search and in-house. Strong candidate sourcing skills are a must, LinkedIn in particular
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills. eg. able to interpret hiring requirements from managers, convert them into clear Job Descriptions and articulate them to candidates
• Knowledge and experience of the investment or renewables industry would be preferable
• German language skills would be desirable, not required
