Position Summary:

The CEOCis seeking an experienced Director of Education and Training to spearhead the training and education programs that prepare the healthcare talent needed for economic growth. Working within the Center for Healthcare Workforce Innovation, the Director will play a leading role in collaborating with senior executives in healthcare, education/training providers, and community partners to lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of healthcare-focused training programs that accelerate skill development, career advancement and, ultimately, economic mobility for all.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Develop and Implement Healthcare Career Pathways (70%):

• Collaborate with Senior Executives and Subject Matter Experts from CEOCCouncil Member Companies to identify and assess training and development needs for priority healthcare careers at all levels (i.e., entry level to executive) across the continuum of care.
• Leverage existing research as well as qualitative and quantitative data to map out healthcare career pathways (e.g., career progression and sequencing, education/training needed to be successful in those roles, etc.) that accelerate career development and improve retention overall.
• Identify, select, and coordinate with education institutions and training providers to develop new or modify existing curriculum tailored to workforce needs of council member companies and healthcare career pathways.
• Facilitate trainings as needed (e.g., Foundational Skills Training program) in conjunction with other CHeWI staff members.
• Lead the implementation of developed training programs including participant recruitment, assessment, cohort formation, and facilitation of programs.
• Collaborate with CEOCImplementation Scientists to evaluate the efficacy of implemented trainings as it relates to individual skill development and experience as well as broader organizational impact (e.g., retention, engagement, job satisfaction, etc.).
• Research and stay current on the most effective training methods, strategies, and best practices globally.

Stakeholder Management and Coordination (20%):

• Foster and cultivate strong partnerships with education institutions, training providers, and community partners that support the CHeWI’s objectives and position it as the leader of a robust healthcare workforce ecosystem.
• Supports CEOCleadership in coordinating and managing the Workforce Innovation Committee including committee meeting preparation and facilitation, conducting workforce discovery labs, etc.
• Support and advise education institutions at all levels (K-16) on the development of new or modification of existing curriculum aligned to the workforce needs of council member companies.

Administration and Management (10%):

• Establish and implement effective processes needed to carry out all objectives of the CHEWI’s training and career pathway efforts.
• Support administrative functions of grants including programmatic and financial reporting related to CHeWI training efforts.
• Foster clear, regular internal communication, especially regarding program activities and plans.
• Manage multiple projects, including project plan, KPIs, reporting, and data management

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in related field required. Graduate degree preferred.
• 5+ years of progressive leadership experience related to designing and implementing effective education and training programs (preferably within the healthcare industry).
• Independent, self-starting thought leader with a proven record of developing, implementing, and managing scalable, strategic learning and development programs in a complex environment.
• Effective oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
