Loughborough University Hiring for International Student Experience Coordinator Job at Loughborough, England Full Time

This role will provide international students with a positive, welcoming and supportive experience at Loughborough University. The role is multi-faceted and whilst being based in the ALSS will involve projects and liaising with stakeholders across the University. The post holder will be involved in all areas of the international student experience and will develop and deliver an orientation on the Pre-sessional Programmes.

The role will enhance support for international student induction, transition, engagement and overall experience. The postholder will lead the Pre-sessional Orientation, including provision of appropriate pastoral support and line managing a Student Support team.

The successful candidate will be student centred and passionate about providing a providing a welcoming and positive student experience. They will need to have a creative, proactive and innovative approach whilst collaborating with stakeholders across the University. The postholder will have strong interpersonal skills with a high level of intercultural awareness in order to support international students’ adaptation to a UK university.

You should be a graduate with substantial experience of providing support for international students, preferably within an HE context as well as having significant experience of planning, coordinating and delivering events and/or projects. You should have an understanding of the challenges faced by international students studying at a UK Higher Education Institution. You must be an excellent communicator in English, be an engaging and approachable presenter, and have excellent IT skills.
