Loudoun School for Advanced Studies is seeking a Secondary School English teacher who is passionate about working with middle and high school students and leading a dynamic classroom where students are active, engaged participants.

This teacher will offer courses in English at the Middle and High School levels. We are open to candidates with full-time availability. This is an In-Person position.

Responsibilities:

• Design an engaging, flexible curriculum that incorporates reading, writing, speaking, and language skills

• Create activities and assessments that encourage students to take an active role

• Hold classes in person and (as needed) students may join from a hybrid or virtual learning environment

• Communicate regularly with parents and students to provide effective feedback

Qualifications:

• A bachelor’s degree in English is required; we prefer candidates who hold an advanced degree

• Strong content knowledge in English, with experience teaching writing

• Strong understanding of best teaching practices

• Experience working with middle and high school students
