The Los Angeles Dodgers’ Player Health team is responsible for practice coverage, and the 6 domains of athletic training (injury prevention, clinical evaluation, immediate care, treatment, rehabilitation and reconditioning, organization and administration, and professional responsibility).

The Minor League Medical Intern must be able to communicate effectively with the respective Athletic Trainers, Strength and Conditioning Staff, Field Staff, and Front Office.

Position Skills And Qualifications

• Student would preferably be in an upper-class athletic training program at a college or university.
• Certification with the National Athletic Trainers Association would be helpful but no necessary.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Baseball knowledge is strongly preferred.
• Ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast paced environment.
• Must have a can-do attitude and be team oriented.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and other variable hours as needed.

Basic Requirements/Qualifications

• Must be a rising sophomore, junior or senior pursuing a bachelor’s degree OR are currently enrolled in a graduate program at an accredited institution
• Must be available to live and work in Los Angeles or your assigned office location throughout the duration of your 3-month program during the summer months
• A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above
• Unrestricted authorization to work in the United States
• Passionate about working for a professional sports team
• Proactive and out of the box thinking
