As a condition of employment, all new employees to safety sensitive positions must successfully pass a substance test within a two week period of their hiring date.

Duties:

• Assist the Rear Load Driver with cart collection, including manual retrieval and emptying of waste, recycle, and organic carts.
• Act as spotter for Rear Load Driver when operating in confined areas.
• Familiarize themselves with Rear Load routes and the demands placed on the equipment to assist relief Rear Load Drivers as needed.
• Adhere to all safety procedures and policies according to company Safety Manual and OH&S Regulations.
• Perform daily safety and maintenance checks and any issues or items of concern found.
• Other duties and projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
• Ability to lift heavy objects, walk, and stand for long periods of time.
• Ability to perform strenuous and repetitive physical labour.
• Ability to work individually as well as part of a team.
• Class 5 licence with insurable driving abstract required.
• A criminal record check will be required.
