Loosh Brands is Looking for Assistant Chemist Full Time

Position is as general assistant for R&D manager of the company. With a small team and a rapidly growing operation, this is a great opportunity for a young person to gain experience in the cannabis industry as well as manufacturing in a GPP regulated environment with plenty of room to grow with the company.

Responsibilities include executing manufacturing instructions and performing experiments at instruction of the R&D manager, double checking dosing calculations, troubleshooting formulation or mechanical issues, and a variety of nonspecific tasks depending on day to day requirements. Fluency in English is a necessity.

Position is open to both students and graduates in general chemistry, no prior experience is required, though previous analytical chemistry or food manufacturing experience is considered an asset. Solid grasp of broad concepts in chemistry and physics such as equilibriums, heat flow, concentrations etc. are a necessity due to the broad scope of work being performed.

Beginning part-time, distribution of hours can be flexible to accomodate class schedule, averaging 20 hours/week, with option to transition to full-time and/or permanent position based on availability and performance of the applicant. Starting wage is $16/h.
