Join Longtail Education, an e-learning startup by GBSE (Ubisoft, Gameloft, Guillemot Corp., AMA) in NYC. Our company designs efficient and effective learning experiences for a wide demographic.

We are looking for candidates who can design, develop, and maintain our backend infrastructure that will power our services.

As an infrastructure engineer, you will be able to design the database structure (SQL, document or graph), implement server side functions, build a recommendation engine, and create scalable solutions for the cloud and everything backend-related.

We are looking for candidates that are independent thinkers, owners of their code, good with communications and eager to learn.

Minimum qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
• Experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript)
• Experience with data structures or algorithms

Preferred qualifications

• Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field
• Experience building and developing scalable infrastructure
• Experience with database design (SQL, document, graph)

• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical teams

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 – $90,000.00 per year
