LondonEnergy Hiring for Trainee Accountant Job at London, England Full Time

LondonEnergy are currently looking to recruit a Trainee Accountant to support our Finance Department located in Edmonton, North London.
As the Trainee Accountant will be responsible for supporting the efficient operation of the finance department, taking responsibility for key processes and controls.
You will be supporting purchase ledger processing and query resolution, month end journals, updating cashflows, bank reconciliations, supplier statement reconciliation, preparing monthly balance sheet reconciliations and resolving balances.
As Trainee Accountant, you are also responsible for:

• Preparing journals, accruals and prepayments.
• Performing balance sheet account reconciliations.
• Providing information to support the annual statutory audit and internal audits.
• Supplier statement reconciliations
• Ensuring that LondonEnergy accounting policies are correctly applied across the company.
• Complying with required internal controls and work to reduce risks within the finance department.
• Making recommendations to develop systems and processes.

Knowledge and Experience:

• Recent graduate, or a person at graduate level with some accounting experience and possibly some completed professional exams.
• Looking progress to full professional qualification (normally ACCA or CIMA).
• Experience with Microsoft Office software, particularly Microsoft Excel, and the ability to develop strong Excel skills.
• Aptitude to work within a busy and varied accounting role.
• Demonstrable strong academic ability
