As the Student Engagement & Retention Team Leader you will support this agenda by leading and managing the Student Engagement team supporting students whose attendance and engagement is falling below the University threshold.

Exciting work you will do

In this role you will lead and manage the team that:

• Oversees the administration, interventions and reporting of attendance, engagement, extenuating circumstances and other administrative process.
• Manages a caseload of students, using data to target interventions.
• Works closely with Student Services, Personal Academic Tutors and Schools to support students ‘at risk’ of non-continuation by providing timely and effective intervention.

The skills and experience you will need to be successful

To be successful in this role you will have a minimum two years’ experience working as a team leader in an educational setting and providing practical experience supporting and resolving student concerns.

You will be a flexible and proactive person with the capacity to calmly manage a varied workload while meeting deadlines.

Details about the role

This post is offered on a full-time 35 hours and permanent basis with some weekend and evening work when required.

Please note that the University is operating a hybrid working model which means a mix of working on site and from home, confirmation of days worked on campus are arranged with the line manager.
