We are looking to recruit a Research Assistant to support the work of a member of academic staff in the completion of a research and development project of a new consumer electronics product.

The part time post will provide technical assistance (3D Design, Software development and electronics development support)

About you

We are looking for a talented, capable engineer with a strong interest in bringing their existing skillset to the role and ready to learn new skills.

The skills and experience you will need to be successful

• A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering – or similar experience.
• Experience in engineering design – 3D Modelling, Printing etc.
• Experience in the use of micro-controllers and sensor integration
• Some software development experience

Details about the role

The role is 50% part time and will run for 3 months, with the role to expected to start as soon as possible.

Please note that the University is operating a hybrid working model which means a mix of working on site and from home, confirmation of days worked on campus are arranged with the line manager.
