The Opportunity
We are looking for a talented individual to join our excellent Finance Team as an Assistant Finance Business Partner, on a one-year contract, primarily to help support the successful delivery of the East Bank project. This will include working with colleagues both in finance and the East Bank project team (including Mace, LLDC’s Project Management Partner) to ensure that project-related income and expenditure is properly received/incurred. You will also help to ensure that robust financial monitoring processes and controls are maintained and to identify and lead on the resolution of any identified issues. In addition, the role will provide financial business partnering support for a range of other projects across the Development directorate, which include residential and large-scale infrastructure projects. You will support on the production of timely and informative management accounting performance information that is used to update senior stakeholders regarding progress.
Is it for you?
You will have strong analytical skills, good attention to detail and be able to demonstrate how you can take the initiative to solve complex issues. You will also have a proven track record of working independently and as part of a team to deliver high standard pieces of work under pressure and be able to demonstrate the ability to build positive relationships with stakeholders in the business. You will bring your lived experience and understanding of the communities we serve, to ensure that public funds are utilised responsibly. We’d like you to have experience of working on large-scale projects, but this is not essential.
LLDC encourages professional development and would consider providing support for a part-qualified appointee to continue their professional studies.
This role is being offered on a one-year fixed term contract.
