The Opportunity

We are looking for a talented individual to join our excellent Financial Control Team as a Finance Officer on a fixed-term contract for two years. The role will help the Financial Control Team to support the business and ensure robust monitoring and control of LLDC’s financial resources. You will help to embed efficient financial processes across the organisation, improve the understanding of effective financial control and deliver continuous improvements to financial reporting. You will also be responsible for creating and improving sources of management information, which are used to report to key internal and stakeholders, such as the Greater London Authority (GLA), in meeting the Mayor of London’s ambition of delivering value through the GLA’s supply chain.

Is it for you?

You will have strong analytical skills and be able to demonstrate how you can take the initiative to problem solve issues. You will also have a proven track record of working independently and as part of a team to deliver high standard pieces of work under pressure. You will bring your lived experience and understanding of why high levels of accuracy and diligence are required in the work you produce and sensitivity around the information you will be handing. The role will give you an insight into how LLDC manages and allocates its financial resources to the communities we serve, ensuring that public funds are utilised responsibly.

We would like you to have experience of working with financial systems and a strong understanding of the accounts receivable and accounts payable functions as a minimum. Given the nature of the work involved, you will be at least part AAT qualified (level 3) or studying towards a CCAB/CIMA or equivalent professional accounting qualification (with at least one exam pass).

LLDC encourages professional development and would consider providing support for a part-qualified appointee to continue their professional studies.

This role is being offered on a fixed term contract for two years.
