Pembroke-based freight forwarder looking for an experienced Inventory Control Supervisor to join our team!
We are a rapidly growing freight forwarding and logistics company. The operations team is looking for a driven inventory control manager with WMS experience. This is a salary, full-time position in Pembroke, MA.
Qualifications/Skills:
· Minimum of five years of experience in an inventory control/inventory control manager role
· MUST HAVE experience with warehouse management system (WMS) in data entry capacity
· Experience working with inventory management software and forecasting strategies
Preferred Education & Experience:
· CRM (Customer Relationship Management) software
· ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems
· TMS (Transportation Management Systems)
· WMS (Warehouse Management Systems)
· Supply chain or transportation and logistics industry knowledge
· Project Management, Implementation and/or customer onboarding software tools
Inventory Control:
· Must have extensive knowledge of warehouse management systems
· Manages inventory tracking system to record inbound and outbound shipments from a variety of customers and vendors.
· Executes daily inventory analysis; identifies and resolves discrepancies and problems.
· Oversees stock item master, identifying incorrect descriptions and stock numbers.
· Locates items that may have incorrect locations or stock numbers to assist order processors.
· Maintains inventory by identifying, labeling, and keeping materials and supplies in stock, and recording location of inventory.
· Must be able to work with several different SKUS / products, a variety of storage clients with different needs and storage/handling requirements.
· Execute the onboarding of data exchange for WMS and EDI clients.
· Interface with clients to understand their business needs, gathering required specifications, file layouts and test data and mapping data to and from standards.
· Contact client trading partners, managing implementation from testing phase through production.
· Field a steady volume of phone and written client interactions related to a wide array of data interchange inquiries.
Management:
· Oversees team of inventory or warehouse employees including a warehouse manager, asst. warehouse manager, and a warehouse administrator.
· Manages schedules of employees, deliveries, and shipments to optimize operations.
· Manages the recruitment and training of new warehouse employees alongside human resources.
· Ensure the warehouse operates at peak efficiency, with customer satisfaction being the primary goal, by supervising, organizing, directing, and training warehouse employees and establishing, monitoring, and managing operation and annual/monthly revenue goals
· Communicates with warehouse employees to meet business goals and address personnel issues.
· Learns and adheres to workplace safety regulations.
· Ensures financial milestones and goals are met.
