Summary

To provide expert financial management services and advice to the Sports and Community Infrastructure branch in relation to its capital, Asset Replacement and operational programs with a focus on forward looking business outcomes, performance ing and continuous improvement!

About The Role

This Permanent Full Time Financial Analyst position s directly to the Sports and Community Infrastructure Manager. This is a new role within the branch therefore creating a fantastic opportunity to broaden your financial skills whilst driving efficiency across the branch. The Sports and Community Infrastructure branch supports community wellbeing through the provision of sports, community facilities and associated services including Sports Infrastructure Delivery, Operations and Strategic Planning.

In this role you will provide expert advice in financial management with potential or significant impacts on financial outcomes of the branch. You will exercise leadership, guidance and mentoring to other staff across the branch in relation to all financial matters.

Elements Of The Role Include

• Co-ordinate the development, enhancement and effective implementation of financial budgeting processes including preparation of capital and operational budget submissions and service enhancements
• Take the lead role in the development of Sports and Community Infrastructure’s operational and capital budgeting processes
• Responsible for the provision of timely and accurate financial s to the Sports and Community Infrastructure branch management team on financial performance across the Sports and Community Infrastructure branch
• Recommend procedure and system enhancement to improve financial monitoring and ing associated with the implementation of the Capital, Asset Replacement and Operational programs
• Provide training and guidance to staff and clear communications to branch staff on accounting and financial matters
• Following all the health and safety accountabilities and responsibilities.

Minimum Requirements Of The Role Include

• minimum of 5 years leadership experience within a similar environment
• Tertiary qualifications in Business or other financial discipline
• ‘C’ class drivers’ licence
• Ability to provide a satisfactory result for a National Police History Check
