We currently looking for a Night Shift Dispatcher at our Des Moines, IA facility. The hours are 11PM-7:30AM.

Basic responsibilities:

• Daily routing based on customer and location parameters using TMS to maximize route efficiency and customer time window performance.
• Evaluate daily route exceptions and identify steps necessary to reduce or eliminate them
• Ensure routing solution achieves productivity targets for items including but not limited to total cost, hours worked, equipment utilization, and customer time window performance
• Review prior day solution to determine what worked/what didn’t work and solicit feedback from operations and sales managers
• Daily maintenance of routing software including, but not limited geocodes, time windows, service times, maps, and customer priorities
• Maintain and analyze data in systems, such as SQL ing, Omnitracs, DriveCam and GeoTab
• Confirm routing solution complies with DOT hour and weight regulations
• Dispatch tasks to warehouse staff and investigate errors/issues utilizing the Warehouse Management System (WMS)
• Maintain driver and warehouse related spreadsheets
• Assist drivers with questions about equipment or customer orders
• Reach out to the required Transportation Manager or maintenance company as needed
• Assist customer service with driver-related inquiries
• Maintain and analyze data in systems, such as SQL ing, Omnitracs, DriveCam and GeoTab
• Route analysis based on customer and location parameters using TMS to maximize route efficiency and customer time window performance
• All other assigned duties

Basic requirements for the position are:

• High School Diploma or GED
• 1-2 year of computer experience required
• 1-2 years of previous Warehouse Management System (WMS) and Transportation Management System (TMS) experience preferred
• 1-2 years of previous transportation dispatch preferred
• 1-2 years of basic customer service experience
• Excellent oral and written communication skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 – $18.00 per hour
