About the role:

The applicant will be responsible for the development of patient’s care plans, health counselling and daily health evaluation which might include prescribing needed medicines, blood transfusion, wound care and more. The applicant will be responsible for monitoring a patient’s health condition and vital charts.

Roles and responsibilities:

• Abide by the rules and regulations of nursing guidelines of the state.
• Is lawfully qualified to work and administer their duties as a nurse practitioner.
• Maintain patient secrecy and perform regular check-ups on the status and progress of patients.
• Demonstrate the skill to apply specialised and present-day advanced knowledge to practice and engage in the delivery of clinical care.
• Demonstrates the skill to actively engage with patients and their family members by giving them professional advice and counsel as required about prescriptions, treatments, clinical information and any other relevant information that is necessary.
• Demonstrates the skills to practice communication and interaction with the fellow team members, maintaining a healthy and positive work environment.
• Order and examines various diagnostic tests including X-ray, Blood tests, scans and gives them professional advice and references.
• Demonstrate ability to use relevant and important medical tools and clinical software

Requirements:

• Current Nursing registration with AHPRA
• Completion of a graduate year program or equivalent experience
• Highly developed Clinical Skills and experience in acute nursing
• A post graduate qualification in Emergency or Critical Care Nursing is desirable
• ED experience desirable

Mandatory requirements:

• Must be fully vaccinated for Covid and Flu.
• Must provide national police check report.
• Must provide reports on proof of immunisation against infectious diseases as may require working with children.
