Locksmith Animation Hiring for Systems Administrator Job at London, England Full Time

Locksmith is a dedicated high-end CG animation studio. The Company aims to bring together experienced, world class creative leads, Europe’s animation and design talent and global premiere digital production facilities to produce competitive quality family films and high-end series for global commercial release through their distribution partners. Our first feature Ron’s Gone Wrong for 20th Century Studios and Disney was released to critical acclaim in 2021. Currently we are working on our second feature film “That Christmas” written by Richard Curtis. We are now looking for a Systems Administrator to join our IT team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a keen interest in CG animation, VFX film production or computer games development, to join our growing company.

Key Purpose of the Job:
In this role you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the infrastructure, end user machines and workflows used on our CG animated feature film. You will also be providing face-to-face technical support and assistance to artists, as well as the hybrid workforce is various countries around the world
Our ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate technical skill and initiative, you will also need to be an excellent communicator. You will be a self-starter who is able to think proactively about production issues and quickly adjust and adapt when necessary is this fast-paced environment

Specific Responsibilities Include:

• Assist with support of infrastructure and server environments (i.e., Servers, network connectivity, routers, firewalls, switches and security)
• IT Support relating to technical issues involving Windows, Mac and Linux
• Troubleshooting and issue resolution
• Create and maintain support documentation as required
• Centralized deployment of software for Windows and Mac using PDQ and JAMF
• Identify opportunities and drive service and process improvements

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with PowerShell, Python and bash
• Experience with Server OSs, Workstation OSs, and office products
• Experience of the Microsoft Server platform and its components including Active Directory, Windows Server 2012-2019, DNS, DHCP, DFS, and other related technologies
• Experience of VMware ESXi (vSphere, vMotion)
• Good understanding of TCP/IP networking and the ability to provide resiliency.

• Knowledge of Identity Management and Secure Access Service Edge a plus
• Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, Shotgun, Nuke and Flix a plus
• A degree in Computer Science, Computer Graphics or other related fields a plus

Flexible, adaptable, able to multitask, supportive with an excellent attention to detail. Self-starting and dedicated, with plenty of Initiative. Friendly! It is essential that this person is friendly, polite, and efficient. They will have a can-do attitude.

Job remuneration and hours:

Monday to Friday 9.30am – 6.30pm. £45-£60K depending on experience. Permanent contract. PAYE Schedule E. 28 days paid holiday inclusive of all public and bank holidays. Auto enrolment to company pension scheme.
