Job Title: Instructor

Department: Education

Reports to: Director of Education

FLSA Status: salary exempt

Location: Kentucky and Maryland

Travel: extensive domestic and some oversees travel required

Summary: Serve as technical training expert to students by utilizing proper materials, equipment and hands on tutorials. Help students gain similar skills in the area of technical training and prepare students to enter or advance in that field. Research, create and validate detailed training documentation and instruction material.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following.

• Develop, write and update regularly instructional material, exam content, handouts, hands-on training
• Provide technical training to students and help them gain and improve their skills in the related area
• Demonstrate proficiency in related field
• Administer written and practical exams and write performance reports to evaluate trainees
• Maintain and ensure proper operation of equipment needed in the classroom
• Maintain technical knowledge by attending educational seminars, reading publications
• Maintain safe and healthy training environment by following company standards and legal regulations
• Other duties as assigned

Skills / Trainings / Certifications / Degrees

• Technical knowledge and/or experience in the related field
• Solid knowledge of computer, equipment and tools used in classroom

• Ability to lift, carry, push or pull medium weights, up to 75 pounds

Education and /or Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or at least 4 yrs. of related technical experience
• Experience in Locksmith, access control, and safe & vault work
• Valid driver’s license

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 – $65,000.00 per year
