We’re looking for an Accounts Payable Assitant to join our Finance team. Does the sound of working a 4 day week within a varied role, at one of the area’s top employers appeal to you? If so, this hybrid working position at Lockheed Martin UK based in Ampthill may be perfect for you.

Suited to someone who is self-motivated and able to work well within a close-knit Finance team, you’ll either have experience in an accounts payable environment or a relevant accounting qualification. You will need a systematic approach to your workload, effective communication skills, good team spirit, and integrity to question the completeness of data provided.

Day to day responsibilities include:

• Processing of invoices and credit notes.
• Reviewing own workload to ensure accurate data input.
• Resolving queries enabling fully processed documents to be paid.
• Working closely with employees across the business to facilitate the continuation of supplies of goods and services from our suppliers.
• Supplier statement reconciliations.
• Involvement with month end activities.
• The use of our SAP accounting system.
• Assisting with ad-hoc tasks as required.

• Accounts Payable / Accounts Assitant experience or relevant Accounting qualification such as AAT
• Good IT skills particularly in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience of SAP desirable.
• Ability to demonstrate good prioritisation skills.
• Keen eye for detail with an ability to work to strict deadlines.
• Effective communication skills.
• Ability to gain SC clearance is required for this role
