• Perform a variety of moderately complex accounting and finance administration activities which involve standard and non-standard procedures
• Coordinate and support the maintenance/administration of timesheet, travel and expense management systems including employee access; system configuration and database management; weekly/monthly reporting, follow up on outstanding/incomplete entries; provision of phone, online and face to face support to employees; creating entries for those without system access; and batching
• Perform Accounts Payable activities including charge code and activity type management; supplier invoice processing; receipting of goods and services against purchase orders; tracking workflow; batching; conducting payment runs; management of queries; and vendor account reconciliation
• Perform Accounts Receivable activities including setting up billing schedules and escalation rules/models, invoice preparation, tracking workflow, customer follow up, bank receipt posting, and customer account reconciliation Perform reconciliation of bank and credit card accounts
• Coordinate and perform monthly transaction audit activities
• Develop and maintain standard accounting operating procedures, and monitor ongoing compliance

• Considerable job knowledge with significant and complete acquaintance with and understanding of the general aspects and technical phases of the job and their practical applications to problems and situations ordinarily encountered Significant understanding of the fundamentals of an organisation’s finance function
• Significant experience and knowledge of finance/accounting, time recording, credit card/expense claim systems and online banking tools
• Intermediate skills and experience in the use of MS Office and/or other relevant software packages and applications
