Your responsibilities will include:

We currently have a 12-month Assistant Accountant opportunity available at our Clayton Office. With or without restrictions, this position will have a split of working from home, with several days required in the office. This opportunity provides the flexibility to work a 8-day/or 9-day fortnight.
Some of your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Submit payment requests on the procure to pay system.
  • Issue purchase requests.
  • Prepare reports supporting intercompany billings and answering basic billing queries.
  • Prepare balance sheet reconciliations for low value balance sheets accounts.
  • Credit card administration.
  • Manage central travel account including submitting expense reports.
  • Process P card expense reports.
  • Intercompany accounts reconciliation and review on a monthly basis.

About you:

To be successful in this position you will require a high level of communication skills with the ability to deal with internal stakeholders. More than anything we are seeking a self-starter that is willing to assist the organisation. What we are ideally looking for is the following:

  • Strong experience using SAP.
  • Intermediate/advanced Excel skills.
  • Familiarity with Concur or similar travel expense reporting system.
  • Assistant accounting skills, including AR, reconciliation and invoicing.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Clear and confident communicator.
  • Willingness for early morning starts – dealing with the US.
  • Resourceful, team player with willingness to learn and share.
