As an Assistant Accountant, your job is to provide support to the finance team and through that process, learn and develop your technical competencies. You will have the opportunity to gain unique experiences working in a technology company which is expanding internationally.

The Nuts and Bolts:

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in accounting.
• Degree in Accounting. Bonus points for CPA/CA (or working towards).
• Highly motivated to succeed both individually and with a young, fast-growing company.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experienced with Excel and common accounting systems. Bonus points for Netsuite experience.
• Self-starter with exceptional work ethic and attention to detail.
• Ability to operate and thrive in a fast-paced, demanding and growth-focused environment.

What You Will Do:

Generally, assist with all aspects of Locafy’s financial activities with a focus on:

• Invoicing, receivables and payables.
• Bank reconciliations.
• Month end accounts and reporting.
• BAS, payroll tax and other statutory reporting.
• Payroll processing.
• Identifying and implementing business process improvement opportunities.
• Assisting with acquisition due diligence and post-transaction integrations.
• Other ad hoc duties to support the team.
