This is an exciting opportunity for a hardworking and talented accounting professional to join the Private Bank and Schroders Personal Wealth (SPW) oversight Finance team, part of the wider Mass Affluent Business Unit. This role will provide finance business partnering, planning and reporting support to this key element of the business, which has the largest impact on its financial performance.
The Group is just embarking on a new and exciting growth strategy, and this team has a key part to play, providing insightful, high quality complex output, advice and guidance to the business and senior leaders. To do that we need to expand our team, and to find a pipeline of talented finance people to be part of our journey. What will you be doing?
- Providing financial information and analysis to inform strategic decision making, such as repricing of deposit products
- Establishing and building relationships with a variety of partners
- Supporting the business with projects or ad hoc pieces of work
- Providing accurate and timely reporting on deposit book performance to the business and other key partners
- Be a trusted partner to the Savings product team, producing deposits latest view projections in preparation for trading meetings
- Working collaboratively with the Savings and PCA product teams to produce robust deposits forecasts, at quarterly planning rounds
So what are we looking for?
- A Qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA)
- Someone who has strong stakeholder management and influencing skills
- An analytical skill set with the ability to handle sophisticated problems
- Someone who is commercial aware
- Competence in Excel modelling and PowerPoint presentations
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- A flexible approach is vital as you’ll be part of a small, specialist team that utilises cross-training to ensure coverage for holidays / illness
Whilst the majority of the team is based in Leeds and occasional travel to the office will be required, we are flexible about location.
