Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine Hiring for Library Officer (Subscription and Publications) Job at Liverpool, England Full Time

The successful applicant will be responsible for managing subscriptions, copyright clearance, publication processing charges and supporting physical collections. You will provide flexible support across the team which may include some general library activities such as occasional desk and evening duties.

Key responsibilities are (but not limited to):

• Manage the subscription processes and budget for all electronic resources
• Undertake analysis of statistical data and produce reports
• Ensure effective quality and continuous improvement of e-resource acquisition processes
• Participation in library collection reviews
• Develop and organise stock movement and reorganisation in line with strategic plans
• Responsible for work processes and writing of procedures to support reading list management
• Responsible for the efficient management of reading lists & the ordering of copyright-cleared material for VLE
• Advise on compliance with the copyright, the CLA Licence and Second Extract Permissions Service

The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work as an integral and flexible member of a fast-paced multi-disciplinary team. You will possess excellent organisational and time management skills, with meticulous attention to detail. Ideally, we are seeking a candidate that can demonstrate on their CV and application a combination of the below:

• Educated to Degree Level or equivalent
• Experience of library and information work.
• Knowledge of Subscription processes
• Experience of publisher “model” licences
• Experience of CLA Reporting/DCS/Compliance
• Ability to write user friendly procedures and guidelines
• Experience of organising physical collections (desirable)
