Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine Hiring for Finance Project Officer – maternity cover (67496) Job at Liverpool, England Full Time

Fixed-term appointment to 31st July 2023

We are looking to appoint a proactive Finance Project Officer to deliver high-quality grant management outputs. Reporting to the Finance Faculty Manager, you will play a key operational role to support grant delivery across all areas of grant management and financial project delivery. You will assume responsibility for the review of all expenditures against each grant/contract to ensure it adheres to the funding body’s terms and conditions. You will also: undertake accurate forecast/re-forecast of grants on a regular basis anticipating expenditure appropriately, reconcile grant expenditure and prepare and issue claims for grant income on a timely basis.

The ideal candidate will be AAT qualified with evidence of CPD or similar accounting qualification, or relevant experience. You must have experience in: dealing with budgets, forecasting expenditure in line with delivery expectations, reconciling accounts, and producing expenditure statements. You will also be required to prepare and process internal finance-related documentation for grant delivery such as bank transfers, financial contract clauses, journals, and timesheets – so being highly numerate, having meticulous attention to detail and outstanding organisational skills are essential. We are looking to appoint a candidate who takes pride in what they do and is keen to constantly develop and improve systems and processes.
