Live Oak Charter School, a public TK-8 school guided by the principles of the Alliance for Public Waldorf education located in Petaluma, California is seeking highly qualified, exceptional teacher candidates for 5th grade teacher.

Ideal candidates are collaborative, have strong background in CCSS and the arts, and can effectively integrate Waldorf pedagogy into their lessons. You are passionate in your dedication to their students, and enthusiastic to join a creative and professional faculty. Candidates must have a valid California Credential and completion of Waldorf grades level training is preferred. Specific educational experience in science, ecology, gardening, music, dramatic arts, and youth team building is desired.

Compensation is commensurate with teaching experience and includes stipends for Waldorf certificate, Masters degree and Bilingual certificate. Also, a generous employer contribution for Health benefits, PERS/STRS retirement, and priority enrollment completes the compensation package.

Live Oak is in the heart of Petaluma, a beautiful main street town in Sonoma County. 45 minutes north from San Francisco, Petaluma is home to artisan bakers, knitting shops, organic CSA’s, bicycling teams, antique Victorians, and an incredible community of educators and families working together to support and educate the children within the community.

Pay: $66,495.00 – $72,179.00 per year
