Job description

The role of the Nursery Manager is to provide professional leadership and management of the nursery, to effectively manage the day-to day running of the nursery and to deliver the highest standards of care and education.

The candidate must have:

• Good leadership skills
• Experience working in early years settings and leadership role in early years
• The ability to Implement and oversee the curriculum
• Strong knowledge of child development and how to plan for and assess child development
• Knowledge and understanding of the EYFS and Ofsted inspection frameworks
• A willingness to be the registered person for the nursery
• The ability to motivate and drive a team
• The passion to strive for continuous improvement of the nursery
• Confidence liaising with parents and supporting families
• The knowledge to be able to review staff performance, set targets and complete effective supervisions
• Confidence in their IT Skills

Qualifications.

· Must hold a relevant Early Years/childcare qualification, Level 3 or higher.

· At least 5 years’ experience working in an early year’s setting

· An enhanced DBS is required for this position. If on the update service, the original certificate must be seen, and the update service will be regularly checked.

Wages are negotiable.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: Up to £26,000.00 per year
