Linguabilities Hiring for Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing – Remote Job at Remote Full Time

We are hiring for a part-time remote contract need. You will be working remotely as a contract Teacher for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing for a school in Wyoming. All work is remote but you MUST be licensed in WY and your state of residence. (We also have opportunities in FL that require a FL DOE teaching certificate in TDHH, if interested.)

Please note: must be able to obtain Wyoming DOE certification

Responsibilities include screening, evaluation, and instruction in deaf/hard of hearing services per IEP mandates and in-line with WY DOE standards. Additional duties may include consultation, case management, and/or meeting attendance. Caseload is part-time, estimated at 10 hours a week.

Experience:

• 1 year telepractice experience (required)
• 1 year school-based experience (required)
• Experience teaching deaf/hard of hearing students (required)
• Familiarity with American Sign Language, Signed Exact English, or other forms of sign language (preferred)

Licensure/Certification:

• WY DOE Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing certificate (required)
• Masters degree in exceptional student education or major in deaf/HoH services (required)

Skills:

• Excellent communication skills, especially through phone and email
• Exemplary organization and problem solving skills using digital resources
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Proficient computer skills

Job Types: Part-time, Contract

Pay: $45.00 – $50.00 per hour
