Lingo Learning Centre Hiring for Functional Skills English tutor (online) Job at Birmingham, England Full Time

Lingo Learning Centre is looking for a Functional Skills Tutor to deliver English lessons to adults.

You will be employed for approximately 10 up to 30 hrs per week (depending on the tutor’s availability) to deliver Functional Skills English sessions online.

Predominantly, the role of a Functional Skills Tutor will be to provide inspirational teaching and learning to adult learners via online learning sessions.

This must be of high-quality teaching, learning, and assessment.

Personal criteria:

· Presentable and professional appearance.

· Ability to work as part of a team.

· Ability to work to quality standards.

· Very good command of the English language.

· Desirable: Ability to speak other languages than English, for example, Polish or Romanian.

Educational criteria:

· Teaching qualification e.g. CELTA/ Certificate/Diploma in Education or equivalent or willing to work towards within an agreed timescale.

· Minimum Level 2 in English and Maths.

· Minimum one year of experience needed.

Dispositions:

· Ability and willingness to work flexibly.

· Excellent interpersonal skills.

· Approachable.

· The capacity to communicate effectively both verbally and in the written word.

· Enthusiastic and self-motivated.

· Willing to apply for Disclosure and Barring Service clearance at Enhanced level (cost covered by the company).

· Ability to work mornings/ evenings/weekends, if required.

· Possess a current driving license or willing to travel if required.

Salary: £15.00-£20.00 per hour
