Lindsay Agricultural Society is Looking for Summer Office Assistant Full Time

This position supports all aspects of the Lindsay Agricultural Society’s office in the lead up to the Lindsay Exhibition.

Responsibilities include:

– website updating and development

– social media management

– working with all aspects of the entries database in preparation for and keying in entries

– creating documents in Word, Excel, PowerPoint

– answering phones, responding to emails, drafting communications

– in-person and phone-based customer service for ticket selling, entry questions, general questions

– database clean-up

– supporting all staff as needed

– working with and providing support to a large volunteer base

Successful candidate will have MS Office skills, website editing and/or development skills, and experience managing social media for business. If you see a future in event planning or marketing or web design, these positions will be of interest. A permanent position may be offered to the right candidate at the conclusion of the contract.

**Candidates must be eligible for the Canada Summer Jobs program. This position is dependent on receiving funding from the Canada Summer Jobs program, up to 2 positions may be available.**

• Secondary School (preferred)
