Lightspeed Commerce Hiring for Quality Specialist at Ottawa, ON Full Time

As part of Lightspeed’s Golf product group, you will contribute to our mission to become the desired Golf management system and contribute to the number one booking app in the Golf sphere.

This team is responsible for building functionalities that directly impact our customers’ joy & satisfaction in using our product and helping expand our reach in different markets and geographies. The candidate will have the opportunity to collaborate with and learn from Engineers, Product and Go To Market teams while simultaneously being a part of scaling the team towards the future.

What you will be doing:
Execute test cases effectively and document the results. Prepare & share test reports with stakeholders.

Identify bugs and create detailed bug reports in the bug tracking software

Collaborate effectively with other departments to identify, analyze & clarify requirements for features & functionalities

Build and update test cases based on the requirements, both explicit & implicit

Identify test data to use during execution

Verify fixes for reported bugs to ensure that product is implemented as intended

Perform regression testing to ensure that overall product quality is maintained

Perform exploratory testing on the applications to identify anomalies which might have been missed

Perform testing on desktop and mobile devices

Who you are:

Understanding of CI/CD practices

Understanding or knowledge of agile processes and methodologies

Be a Self-learner/motivated to learn new things.

Have a positive attitude

Not just point out problems, but also suggest possible workarounds & solutions

Have an eye for details and can think about alternatives quickly

Be able to see the big picture and be patient about frequent changes when the team is sprinting

Have perseverance and patience

What you need to bring:
Good verbal & written communication skills

Strong attention to details with solid analytical and problem-solving skills

Good knowledge of QA methodologies, tools & processes

Experience testing web application on desktop & mobile

Experience/ability to trace errors & troubleshoot bugs

Nice To Have, but no necessary

Experience working with JIRA/Monday/Clickup & TestRail

Experience of testing, or at least using ecommerce & retail websites

Knowledge of automation tools like Selenium, JMeter

Ability to use PostMan to test APIs

Knowledge of the sport of Golf or booking systems
