Additionally, this role will oversee the change management process, sustainment of assigned platform designs, develop best practices, and oversee the professional development of their technical staff among other duties.
Responsibilities+ Manage engineering teams with inputs coming from multiple cross-functional disciplines, including Program Management, Product Management, Sales, Supply Chain, and C-Suite.
Define and execute cost-efficient and high performance new product designs for multiple vehicle platforms from Class 3 through Class 7 per the Product Road map+ Ensure timely completion and quality of design results for the group+ Develop and implement design best practices based on industry standards and ISO 9001+ Oversee sustainment activities including continuous improvement, cost reduction, warranty reduction, and design for manufacturing / design for assembly+ Develop and manage the execution of all validation plans for new and existing designs+ Develop and implement process improvements for engineering change management+ Lead teams in root cause analysis and corrective action implementation+ Create and maintain budgets+ Oversee development of technical staff+ Create staff assignments and progress via KPI’s+ Other duties as assignedCompetencies+ Customer Service : Passion for delivering exemplary service.
