Lighthouse Industries Hiring for Senior Business Analyst at Adelaide, South Australia, Australia Full Time

Job Summary: 

As a Senior Analyst in our organisation, you will work closely with the CEO, the Lighthouse Industries leadership team and play a critical role in preparing and analysing information to support industry trends, business development, merger and acquisition analysis, raising equity, board ing, and recommendations. Your primary focus will be on the renewables infrastructure sector and contributing to the acceleration of Australia’s transition to renewable energy sources. We highly value individuals with 2-3 years of experience in a top-tier professional services business who can bring their expertise and insights to our team.

Responsibilities:

1. Conduct comprehensive research and analysis on the renewables infrastructure sector, staying up-to-date with the latest industry trends, market dynamics, and regulatory changes.
2. Prepare presentations, including data visualisation and compelling narratives, to effectively communicate key findings and insights to internal stakeholders, potential investors, and other relevant parties.
3. Model business scenarios and perform financial analysis to evaluate the financial feasibility and potential returns of renewable energy projects or investments.
4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop detailed business plans and investment proposals for potential new investors, ensuring accurate financial projections, risk assessments, and growth strategies.
5. Assist in the preparation of board s, including the creation of executive summaries, data visualisation, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to effectively communicate complex information to stakeholders.
6. Conduct due diligence on potential investors, analysing their financial capabilities, strategic fit, and alignment with the organisation’s goals.
7. Provide recommendations based on analysis and research findings to support the development and execution of business strategies that align with Australia’s renewables transition goals.
8. Monitor and evaluate the performance of existing renewable energy projects, identifying areas for improvement and providing recommendations for optimisation.
9. Foster relationships with external stakeholders, industry experts, and relevant organisations to enhance industry knowledge and identify potential collaborations or partnerships.

Location: This is a national role with negotiable location, however Sydney or Adelaide are preferred.

Skills, qualifications and experience:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
2. Proven experience of 2-3 years in a similar analytical role within a top-tier professional services business, with a focus on renewable energy or infrastructure projects.
3. Strong understanding of the renewables infrastructure sector, including knowledge of market dynamics, industry players, and regulatory frameworks.
4. Proficiency in financial analysis, including financial modeling, valuation techniques, and due diligence processes.
5. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights and recommendations.
6. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to create compelling s and presentations for diverse audiences.
7. Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
8. Proficiency in data analysis tools, financial software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
9. Self-motivated and proactive with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
10. Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
