At LifeWorks, you will join an amazing team of therapists supporting youth and families throughout Sonoma County! Established in 1996, we are a non profit mental health agency focused on healing trauma and helping families thrive. As a counselor in our School Based program, you work at school sites providing therapy to students. Counselors at LifeWorks receive supervision, clinical training and a supportive work environment.

We are currently hiring for a 20 hour per week position within the Waugh School District. Interested candidates may be able to work additional hours within our other programs to achieve full time hours and benefits. Check out our programs at www.lifeworkssc.org

Duties

-Work collaboratively with teachers and school staff to create a safe and healthy school environment

-Provide individual therapy to students at the school site

-Maintain session notes and client files according to contract and agency requirements

-Develop treatment plans and identify behavioral goals

-Provide support to parents through psychoeducation, family meetings student advocacy

-Make referrals for additional student and family support services

Requirements

-Master’s degree in family therapy, social work or professional clinical counseling

-Registration (or pending) as an associate clinician in California

-Two years of experience in a clinical setting

Preferred

Experience providing mental health treatment in the school setting

Training in trauma informed models of care

Compensation

$24 per hour

Clinical supervision and training
